The default session logout time for mysql is 1440 secound. After this number of seconds, stored data will be seen as ‘garbage’ and cleaned up by the garbage collection process.

So if you want to stop auto logout of your phpmyadmin or mysql than go to php.ini file of your server and find the below statement.

You can edit the time and prevent the system from automatic log out from the mysql or phpmyadmin session.

Keep in mind that you must need to edit all php.ini file of your server.

Phpmyadmin install on linux instance step by step

For installing phpmyadmin on linux server than follow below steps, you definitely will get install.
1. Follow below command to navigate to document root.
cd /var/www/html

2. follow this command: wget        languages.tar.bz2
3.  Unzip by typing: tar -jxf phpMyAdmin-3.4.1-all-languages.tar.bz2 -C /var/www/html
4.  rename the directory:mv phpMyAdmin-3.4.1-all-languages phpmyadmin
5.  Make a config directory in the phpmyadmin directory : cd /var/www/html/phpmyadmin and than mkdir config and than make copy by cp /var/www/html/phpmyadmin/ /var/www/html/phpmyadmin/config/

6.  Open in VIM text editor by typing: sudo vim /var/www/html/phpmyadmin/config/

7.  Find the line that reads “$cfg[‘blowfish_secret’] = ”;” and change it so it reads:
$cfg[‘blowfish_secret’] = ‘type your secrete code';
secrete code has 60 character limit.
8.  Find the line that reads “$cfg[‘Servers’][$i][‘AllowNoPassword’] = false;” if you have not set the password for root than set true for this option.
9.  Hit “Esc” to get out of insert mode in your text editor. Then type:
Type it just like that, including the semicolon, to save and exit the file.
10.  Go to http://your_public_DNS/phpmyadmin/ and enter you mysql admin username and password. You should have recorded these in your notes when setting up the database above in step 7 of the previous section(not this one).

1) open mysql propmt by typing mysql. or giving sudo su root you can use for giving root user to permission.
2) Or follow $ mysql -uroot -p
